Condolence From: Bonnie Diamond
Condolence: What an amazing woman! Full of music, folklore, fun. Shirley was a perfect example of how dispensing love increases the capacity to love! She even took my daughter in for a summer while she worked at the Bonnechere Caves! My kid ended up with a second mother that she loved dearly! The Eganville Community was so enriched by her music and other contributions! Sad I can’t come home for the celebration of her life, I will be thinking of every one, especially Mary, Janie and my dear friend Mary Miller!

Condolence From:
Condolence: I have many favorite stories of Shirley, who I refer to as my second mother, however the time that her and Barb came to teach our son Nic and his grade 6 classmates at Chelsea Elementary how to quilt is at the top of the list. The kids hung on their every word. Barb starts off the presentation by having all of the kids look around the room at each other and says....." now look around the room kids. You will see friends, there are people in this room who you may not think are your friends that may turn out to be great friends in the future. I wish for all of you to have a friend in your life that will be as good a friend to you as Shirley and I have been to each other for the last 50 years."
