When I would be back home in Renfrew visiting family, Mac would stop outside to say hello and to see how things were going. Always appreciated his quick visits and funny stories. My condolences to all who knew him.

Regardless of the fact that we all know we are going to pass from this life one day, it never gets any easier to say, “Until we meet again.”, when we lose the people that we idolize. Mac was admired and respected by those who had the good fortune to chat with him and he always had time to chat. He was a true gentleman, with common sense and the ability to express it. He was a sports promoter and supporter. Renfrew voters gave him a seat at the town council table because they trusted him. He was a valued employee at Haley Industries and a treasured presence with ‘the gang’ at Ray’s Flowers. His friends were his family and his family was large and caring. God rest his kind and friendly soul and may God speed.

I was shocked to hear of Mac's passing! He had become a big part of our breakfast club workout group at the rec center gym. We enjoyed many of his great stories of his growing up in Renfrew. He was very proud of his valley town and of course his leafs hockey team. RIP my friend Tim Bulmer

Shocked and saddened to hear about Mac's passing. He was a lovely man and a dear friend for many years. We are also privileged to have been considered family. Christmas Eve was always made more special with his attendance and his gift of a rose for each and every one of our ladies. His phone calls and drop in visits will be sorely missed. Deepest condolences to his dear friends.... the Anderson, Dillabough and Ray's Flowers families. He loved you all so very much. We will remember him with much love and trust that he is at peace with his mom and dad and the many friends that will have met him when he passed over. Dave, Janice, Chris and Pat Pender
