Dear Trudy, With great sorrow did we hear ( and too late ) the news about Gunters passing . He was a really good person , kind and talented and even in his last few month ( he came by the shop around Christmas time and Willie and I had a chat with Gunter, and he was so at peace with his fate) he was to young to go. Günter will be missed , but not forgotten. We walk daily on his stairs he build at the store and you both where our first friends when we came to Canada in 1983. I see Günter coming trough the door at the store and introducing himself and offer any help to us , and then the both of you helped us with Caterings at the beginning of our Venture in Canada , which was much appreciated. With love , admiration and a heavy heart,, Willie and Marion

Dear Trudy and family, we are so sorry to hear of Gunter's passing. We got to know you and Gunter while visiting our friends cottage over many years and always enjoyed both of your company. He was such a fun and friendly man and a very talented carpenter. We were fortunate to have visited with you this past summer and will remember Gunter fondly. Condolences from Roger and Carole (Jim & Kathy McCarthy's friends)

Gunter: Thoughtful, kind Hard working, great sense of humor. The many times we got together at Buck Lake I will never forget. Whether it was hunting, fishing Or just hanging out and chatting. One fishing derby I recall At about 6:45am I was frying bacon for breakfast when Gunter approached me and asked "do you think it's time for an eye opener " (shot of whiskey). That was a saying my late father said many times, which I hadn't heard for at least 30 years. That morning brought me a lot closer to him. Gunter your work here is done. Your staircase to heaven has already been built. Rest in peace my Friend Richard
