With great sadness, we announce that Alexander "Sandy" James Parkhill passed away suddenly June 22, 2019 at the age of 84 in Toronto while returning from abroad. Sandy inspired us thru his strength of life as he shared the joy of play and travel with his loved ones. Retired from his career at the Ministry of Transportation, Sandy had touched our hearts in both the White Lake, Ontario and Bradenton, Florida communities where his caring for animals, especially canines, was a passionate via his support of the Canadian and American Guide Dog Associations. Born in Ingersoll, Ontario, the son of Joyce and John, he is survived by May his beloved partner; Doug, Pat and Gail, his beloved children; Livy, Tacita and Payton, his cherished grandchildren; Francis his trusted brother-in-law and Helen his caring sister-in-law. He will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces and friends. Predeceased by his parents, 1st wife Barbara, brother Jack, brother-in-laws; Joe and Dave, sister-in-laws; Irene and Elma.

Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday June 29, 2019 at 3pm at his home in White Lake, ON.

I just found out about Sandy's passing. In the 1960's the Nadalins were next door neighbors of the Parkhills. When they moved away to ErinMills Mississauga, my sister and I would visit in the summers. I can vividly remember that happy part of my life. Years ago we enjoyed a visit with Sandy in Renfrew and kept in touch by email. Condolences to Sandy's family. RIP. Margy Nadalin-Dukes.

. We met Sandy him in Bradenton Fl about 15 yrs ago. He was a willing volunteer and a founding member of our Wednesday "Beer Call". He often spoke of his time in the military and his career that followed. Sandy enjoyed his friends and he and May were great company. Deepest Condolences to May and family. Sandy will be missed.
