It is with great sadness that the family of Edward "Ed" Kress announce his passing on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Hospice Renfrew, after a well fought battle with cancer. Ed and I spent summers together as young teenagers south of Chatsworth , his Uncle Gord farmed beside my Grandparents farm. We had so many good times , his cousin Jimmy ,driving us around ,going to Sauble beach ,and always something going on at the Lipskie house.
That was fifty five years ago ,and only 3 years ago we were reunited ,I visited him at his home ,and last fall in the hospital in Walkerton . We shared the memories the best we could . Wish we had ,had more time .
To Fran and her family I am saddened for your loss and mine.

Our thoughts are with you Fran and your family. We have so many memories of Ed from a very young age. When your family use to come up to Grandma's it seemed like moments before your Ed would be down at our place to play and see what trouble (no we never got in trouble)lets reword that and say what adventures we could find to do. Those were times I will always hold dear. I also have a reminder on my right foot from the time I was giving Ed a ride on an old bike that didn't have a chain and the bike tipped and the cogs were the chain should of been left me with 2 deep cuts on my foot and the scar reminds me of that day so many times. Ed was very easy going and always enjoyed a good laugh. Russ and I are so thankful we got to spend some time with Ed before he went to Renfrew , he told us that is were he wanted to go as he knew more people there then he knew in Walkerton and I am sure he also knew that you would take really good care of him Fran. You and Butch are 2 very special people and I know Ed loved going to your place. Hope to see you soon. Love Gloria xx
